StoreCopy for Freshsales · Setup guide

Move HubSpot to Freshsales, with the CRM history

Companies, contacts, leads, products, deals, quotes and every task, call, meeting and note, copied from HubSpot into Freshsales and linked the way they were.

Free estimate · Free demo migration · You pay only for the full migration

Leaving Freshsales? Connect HubSpot as the destination, then connect Freshsales with its bundle alias and API key: accounts, contacts, products, deals, quotes, tasks, meetings and notes move to HubSpot.

Another CRM? Open the wizard: Freshsales migrates both ways with Zoho CRM, Pipedrive, Salesforce, ActiveCampaign, Odoo and ERPNext too.

Setup

From connecting HubSpot to migrated data in six steps

You need a HubSpot account you can sign in to and a Freshsales admin user whose Profile settings → API settings page you can open. Nothing is deleted in HubSpot or in Freshsales.

  1. 1

    Connect HubSpot

Click Connect HubSpot, sign in and approve read access for StoreCopy. HubSpot sends you to the StoreCopy wizard with your HubSpot account connected as the source. StoreCopy only reads from HubSpot.

  2. 2

    Choose Freshsales as the destination

In the wizard, pick Freshsales from the destinations.

  3. 3

Paste your bundle alias and API key

In Freshsales, click your avatar and open Profile settings → API settings. Copy the address under Your bundle alias (youraccount.myfreshworks.com/crm/sales) and the key under Your API key, paste both into the wizard and click Connect. The key acts as your user, so use an admin account. StoreCopy checks the key before it saves it.

  4. 4

    See the free estimate

StoreCopy counts the companies, contacts, leads, products, deals, quotes, tasks, calls, meetings and notes in HubSpot and shows the price of the full migration before you pay anything.

  5. 5

    Run the free demo migration

Copy up to 20 records of each type into Freshsales and check them there before you decide.

  6. 6

    Run the full migration

Pay once and migrate everything in one run. Progress shows in the wizard, and you can close the tab: the migration keeps running on our servers.

What arrives in Freshsales

Your records, linked the way they were

From HubSpot

Each record type, and where it lands:

  • Companies · become accounts, with industry, size, revenue, address, phone and website
  • Contacts · linked to their account, with job title, phone, mobile, address, lifecycle stage and contact status
  • Leads · as contacts in the Lead lifecycle stage, with their status and source
  • Products · as products with SKU, product code, description and price
  • Deals · in the matching pipeline and stage, with amount, currency, close date, contacts, account and products; won and lost kept
  • Quotes · on their deal and contact, with their products, stage and expiry date
  • Tasks, calls and meetings · as tasks, call logs and appointments with their attendees, on the deal or contact they belong to
  • Notes · on the deal, contact or account they belong to

A contact whose email is already in Freshsales, an account whose name is, and a product with the same name and SKU are linked and left as they are, so running the migration again doesn't make copies.

Matched to your account

StoreCopy uses your Freshsales setup as it is and changes none of it:

  • Pipelines and deal stages · a deal goes to the stage of the same name, else the closest one (Closed Won → Won, Proposal Made → Proposal), else a stage of the same probability
  • Choices · industry, business type, lifecycle stage, contact status, lead source, deal type, lost reason, task type and outcome are matched by name; a value your account doesn’t have is left empty
  • Owners · a record goes to the Freshsales user with the owner’s email, else to the user whose API key you connected
  • Currencies · amounts in a currency your account hasn’t activated go in its base currency
Note

Not migrated

  • Orders, invoices, tickets and logged emails: Freshsales keeps no orders, and tickets belong to Freshdesk.
  • Contacts with neither an email address nor a mobile number: Freshsales requires one of them.
  • Tasks, calls, meetings and notes with neither a deal, a contact nor a company; calls are logged on a contact only.
  • Quotes need Freshsales CPQ (Pro and Enterprise plans) and a deal and contact to sit on.

Your contacts

No emails to your contacts

  • StoreCopy sends no email and doesn't add contacts to sales sequences or lists.
  • Your Freshsales workflows that run when a contact or deal is created or updated can still run for imported records. Turn them off during the migration if they would send email or assign work.

Disconnect

  1. Use Disconnect in the StoreCopy wizard to remove Freshsales or HubSpot from your migration.
  2. The API key belongs to the Freshsales user who copied it; deactivating that user in Freshsales stops the key too.
  3. To disconnect HubSpot completely, remove the StoreCopy app in HubSpot.

Records already migrated stay in Freshsales.

How your data is handled

  • Your Freshsales API key is stored encrypted and used only for your migration.
  • HubSpot connects through OAuth. When it is the source, StoreCopy only reads from it; when Freshsales is the source, StoreCopy only reads from Freshsales.
  • StoreCopy stays within Freshsales' limit of 1,000 API requests per hour, so a large account takes a few hours.
  • Details in our Privacy Policy and GDPR page.
