StoreCopy for ActiveCampaign · Setup guide
Move HubSpot to ActiveCampaign, with the CRM history
Companies, contacts, deals, past orders and every task, call, meeting and note, copied from HubSpot into ActiveCampaign and linked the way they were.
Free estimate · Free demo migration · You pay only for the full migration
Setup
From connecting HubSpot to migrated data in six steps
You need a HubSpot account you can sign in to and an ActiveCampaign account whose Settings → Developer page you can open. Nothing is deleted in HubSpot or in ActiveCampaign.
- 1
Connect HubSpot
Click Connect HubSpot, sign in and approve read access for StoreCopy. HubSpot sends you to the StoreCopy wizard with your HubSpot account connected as the source. StoreCopy only reads from HubSpot.
- 2
Choose ActiveCampaign as the destination
In the wizard, pick ActiveCampaign from the destinations.
- 3
Paste your ActiveCampaign API URL and key
In ActiveCampaign, open Settings → Developer. Copy the URL under API Access (https://youraccount.api-us1.com) and the API key below it, paste both into the wizard and click Connect ActiveCampaign. StoreCopy checks the key before it saves it.
- 4
See the free estimate
StoreCopy counts the companies, contacts, deals, orders, tasks, calls, meetings and notes in HubSpot and shows the price of the full migration before you pay anything.
- 5
Run the free demo migration
Copy up to 20 records of each type into ActiveCampaign and check them there before you decide. Orders come with the full migration only.
- 6
Run the full migration
Pay once and migrate everything in one run. Progress shows in the wizard, and you can close the tab: the migration keeps running on our servers.
What arrives in ActiveCampaign
Your records, linked the way they were
From HubSpot
Each record type, and where it lands:
- Companies · become accounts, with industry, size, revenue, address, phone, tax ID and type
- Contacts · linked to their account with their job title; address, website, lifecycle stage and language in custom fields
- Deals · in the matching pipeline and stage, with value, currency, close date, contacts and account; won and lost kept
- Orders · as historical ecommerce orders with their products, totals, tax, shipping and discount
- Tasks, calls and meetings · as deal tasks on the deal, or on the contact when there is no deal
- Notes · on the deal, contact or account they belong to
A record's owner is the ActiveCampaign user with the same email; when there is none, the deal goes to the user whose API key you connected. A contact whose email is already in ActiveCampaign, or an account whose name is, is linked and left as it is.
Added to your account
So the records have somewhere to go, StoreCopy creates only what is missing:
- Custom fields · for what ActiveCampaign has no field of its own for: Address 1, Address 2, City, State/Province, Postal Code, Country, Mobile, Website and Lifecycle Stage on contacts; Tax ID, Account Type and Lifecycle Stage on accounts; Deal Type, Priority, Won Reason and Lost Reason on deals. A field you already have with the same name is used as it is
- Pipeline stages and task types · a HubSpot pipeline or stage your account lacks is added, and so is a To-do task type for tasks
- A StoreCopy migration connection · the ecommerce connection the orders are filed under
Not migrated
- Products as a catalog, leads, quotes, invoices, tickets and logged emails: ActiveCampaign’s API has no place for them.
- Contacts without an email address: ActiveCampaign requires one.
- Deals with neither a contact nor a company, and tasks, calls and meetings with neither a deal nor a contact.
No emails to your contacts
- Orders are imported as historical orders, which ActiveCampaign doesn't use to start automations.
- Contacts are not added to your lists, so no opt-in or welcome email goes out.
- Your automations that start when a tag is added or a deal changes stage can still run for imported records. Turn them off during the migration if they would send email.
Disconnect
- In ActiveCampaign, open Settings → Developer and click Reset API Key. The key StoreCopy holds stops working.
- To disconnect HubSpot too, use Disconnect in the StoreCopy wizard or remove the StoreCopy app in HubSpot.
Records already migrated stay in ActiveCampaign.
How your data is handled
- Your ActiveCampaign API key is stored encrypted and used only for your migration.
- HubSpot connects through OAuth and is only read.
- StoreCopy stays within ActiveCampaign's limit of 5 API requests per second.
- Details in our Privacy Policy and GDPR page.
